It is not the heat; it is the humidity. How many times have you heard people say that? Well, it is partially true. When the heat is a dry heat, people are able to adapt by sweating. As the sweat evaporates, the body is cooled. However, when it is too humid, the sweat cannot evaporate because the air is already too heavy with moisture. Then the body cannot cool itself properly, and people end up with heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
